Appropriate control of chemical substances

化学物質の適正な管理
Decomposition chamber managed by electronic lock

We have formulated the Chemical Substances Management Manual to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, preservation of the global environment, prevention of accidents, occupational safety and health, and product safety, and strive to properly manage chemical substances.
In addition, we regularly conduct patrols of use and storage locations in order to reduce risks from chemical substances. In addition, we strive to prevent accidents by managing entrances and exits through electronic locks in disassembly rooms (only those who have participated in training can enter the room).

Identification and reporting of chemical substances

The amount of specified chemical substances handled is reported to Saitama Prefecture based on the Saitama Prefecture Living Environment Conservation Regulations.
In fiscal 2021, we reported the amounts of two substances handled: nitrate and sulfuric acid.

Response to the revised CFC law

We responded appropriately to the CFC Law that took effect in April 2015. Hundreds of targeted equipment were extracted and inspections and other measures specified by law were implemented.
In light of the reduction of greenhouse gases, we will continue to promote the replacement with non-CFC equipment, etc.

Response to PCBs

PCBs used in transformers, capacitors, etc. are collected and managed at specific storage locations, and the status of management is reported to the government.

Measures against River Leakage of Abnormal Drainage of pH at Ishikawa Sanken

A warning is issued when there is a pH abnormality in the intermediate tank. However, since the pressure pumps were not halted until the person in charge rushed to the response, "④ ⇒ ⑤ ⇒ ⑥" as shown in the flow, there was a risk that the pressure pumps would leak out of the final liberation layer into the river. From the viewpoint of environmental pollution prevention, we have added a circuit that automatically stops the start-up of pressure pumps when there is a pH abnormality in the intermediate tank. By adjusting the flow of "① ⇒ ② ⇒ ③ ⇒ ①", it has become possible to prevent the leakage of abnormal wastewater.
