March 25, 2007 – Sanken Electric Co., Ltd. announced today that it has gathered information on the scope and the effects of the damages caused by “the Noto Peninsula Earthquake” on March 25, 2007 and suffered by two of Sanken Electric’s manufacturing subsidiaries, Ishikawa Sanken Co., Ltd. (Address: Shika-machi, Hakui-gun, Ishikawa-ken: President: Teruo Esumi)  and Sanken Optoproducts Co., Ltd. (Address: Shika-machi, Hakui-gun, Ishikawa-ken: President: Takashi Wada).

The details of the information are as follows:-

1. No casualty was recorded among employees of the head office and five factories for Ishikawa Sanken Co., Ltd. and of Sanken Optoproducts Co., Ltd.

2. No serious damage was observed in the buildings and the equipments. The impact on production, however, is now being studied and verified.
