Sanken Indonesia Plant Expansion

With the recent increase in order forecasts for switching power supplies and AC adapters for digital OA equipment, we would like to report that Sanken Electric Co., Ltd. has recently started expansion construction at Sanken Indonesia (company name: P.T. Sanken Indonesia), one of our main production bases. Sanken Indonesia was established in an industrial town in the suburbs of Jakarta on July 25, 1997, and the current plant building (steel-frame single-story) covers 11,136 square meters on a 50,000 square meter site. The plant produces switching power supplies (monthly volume 165,000 units), AC adapters (monthly volume 200,000 units) and transformers (monthly volume 430,000 units) for the Japanese, European, U.S., Southeast Asian and Chinese markets. In this expansion plan, the space of the current plant building will be expanded by 5,568 square meters. After expansion, switching power supplies will be expanded by 3 lines, and adapters will be expanded by 2 lines for the pre-process and 1 line for the final test. Production capacity will be expanded by 65,000 units to a monthly volume of 230,000 units for switching power supplies, and adapters will be expanded by 100,000 units to a monthly volume of 300,000 units. Transformers used in both products will be increased by 170,000 units to a monthly volume of 600,000 units.
